About
Rich Lucano
Rich Lucano is a Sydney-based music producer/composer with a soft spot for mental health and a drive to do things differently. An in-demand composer and sonic branding consultant, Rich has worked with esteemed audio houses like Eardrum (SYD) and Listen (NYC).
Over 8 years, Rich has infused defining global brands like Bulleit, Absolut and Jim Beam, with his unique knack for flexing across genres, from forward-thinking electronica to swampy blues, right through to heart-pounding cinematic music. As a sonic branding strategist, Rich has helped defined the sound of Bulleit Whiskey, Skype, Virgin Mobile and Tunein - to name just a few.
Building his career as a client facing creative, Rich quickly set himself apart from the pack through his ability to demystify and translate the esoteric nature of music in a way that fosters collaboration, and makes the feedback process as easy as possible for client/director.
Rich's background in marketing and strategy allows him to approach commercial briefs through the lens of both musician and marketer, while his work in music psychology has equipped him a wide palette of emotions to underscore his compositions.
Rich is also the Music Director at pioneering mental health organisation The Indigo Project where he leads Indigo's music-based programming, and research into music psychology. His work includes installations and performances The Sydney Opera House, Art Gallery of NSW, Vivid Sydney and Melbourne Music Week.
Anyway, you know the saying... talking about music is like dancing about architecture.
Take a listen and let your ears be the judge.
